Here's the second part - artillery, armoured vehicles and vehicles with tracks

One of about seven carriers - a Universal Carrier (Mk II I think) from East of England tank museum

Carrier in the markings of 49th Division, South Wales Borderers (two carriers there with SWB markings on)

Me with the carrier - cheers to Frenchie for taking the photo

The coolest tank ever (and of course, it's British) - the Comet!

The Comet crew - 'Tramps in Armour' as they call themselves

This was ace, the M3 Grant tank - couldn't believe it when I saw it actually driving

humberacbd8.jpg

This was probably my favourite vehicle, a Humber mk IV armoured car, armed with a 37mm (2 pounder) gun and a co-axial 7.62 BESA machine gun. 49th Recce used these as well

Windsor carrier, basically a Universal carrier with a longer body

staghounddb9.jpg

Staghound armoured car, built by the yanks for the British

stuartuq1.jpg

Stuart tank with the turret off used for recconaissance

Panzer IV

Kettenkrad

6 pounder anti tank gun - the Leicesters would have had some of these (can't remember how many)

17pdrqr4.jpg

17 pounder anti tank gun, the best British anti tank gun of the war, and could knock out a Tiger tank at 1000 yards. It was also the main armament for the Comet and Sherman Firefly tanks

Me with the V2

Great pics, just a couple of points.

The Humber is armed with a 37mm but this is not a 2 pdr. The 2 pdr is 40 mm bore and a completely different weapon.

The Windsor Carrier is a T16. Built by Ford in the USA for the British army, the Windsor was built in Canada and they are very different.

The 17 pdr was not strictly speaking used in Comet. That had a '77mm' which was a shortened 17 pdr firing different ammunition, though it did use the same projectile.
