Stretch35
Hey guys, My name is Peyton and I'm a Freshmen Engineer from Louisiana with a passion for military vehicles (mainly anything with treads). I'm not an owner of anything spectacular other than a Reproduction M1897 Trenchgun and my Great Grandfather's Remington Model 8, however I do wish to to one day restore a couple of M3 Halftrack's and I'm also looking at hopefully one day restoring a tank. Adrian Barrell
Welcome Peyton, nice choice of vehicles! Don't worry, finding those parts is not exactly easy this side of the pond either! Any pics of the Firefly?

simon king
Hey guys, I'm also looking at a Sherman Firefly chassis and turret with a group of friends willing to split the bill eight ways. The Firefly needs some serious work however, mainly a demilled 17pdr breech with an un-cut barrel with the muzzle brake and also a modifed M34A1 mantlet. I don't know where I'd find both of those honestly because they're kind of rare nowadays, at least here in the US that is. Fireflies must be pretty rare in the USA full stop (period). I think a complete turret was shipped to the USA and one to Canada during the war and that was the sum total of transfers across the pond. How did your Firefly arrive in the States? It turned out I was actually looking at an old for sale ad of an unrestored Firefly down in Argentina, turns out someone on this forum actually bought it a few years back and the owner forgot that the ad was still up. Oh well, we can't always get our hopes up too high.
