Skipv6797
Ok all I am going ask the question I think I know the answer to. Does anyone know where or if anyone is making mufflers for the Saladin. We need three for the Saladin's we have in Texas.
timbo
Jim Davies from Derby was making these. They are not stainless but are exact replicas of the originals, including the internals. I have one, but want to keep it as a spare. He is on here as Fugly.

I also had one of Jim Davies Saladin Exhaust boxes and heat shroud and can vouch for the quality. I think Jim had them manufactured.
Starfire
I'd be keen on a Saracen one.
Richard Farrant
I'd be keen on a Saracen one. Hi Terry, Tim Vibert had a stack of Saracen silencers at one time and I think a dealer bought some back to the UK, so might be worth asking him. Starfire
I've been annoying Tim a lot lately. I'll hassle him again in a few weeks Cheers, Terry
airdave
Could someone post some photos of the Exhaust Shield please? I'm trying to understand how it slips over the Muffler...and how it is cut to fit. (this is for my 1/16 scale paper model) I understand the Shield is fastened to the Muffler with small brackets at the rear end. My Shield is a snug enough fit that it is supported sufficently...I'm not going to bother with those hidden brackets. I'm mainly only concerned with how it is cut to fit over and around the large mounting brackets on the Muffler. Also...is the Muffler itself pre painted before it is installed on the vehicle? or does it remain bare stainless steel and only areas that aren't covered by the Shield get hit with paint?
