simon stolly
Cheers John! But I had a feeling that Bedford TM's did not come into service untill the '80's :dunno: Here, a picture anyway.

simon stolly
The Bedford TM 4-4 that I've just bought from Witham's last tender has a problem selecting 3rd gear, as we have not collected the vehicle yet, I've not had chance to investigate further. However I am hopeful that it may be something simple and not require a new box. The operation manual states that in order to tilt the cab the gear stick must be removed, it is possible that someone has left the stick in place when raising the cab and thus damaged the linkage, (yes I know very hopeful!!) The TM has only done 5400km, just run in!! One of the the things that has surprised me is just how little info there is on the TM on line. Still I can't wait to get my hands on my new truck ( one without spark plugs!) If anybody reading this knows where I can get a workshop repair manual for it, I would appreciate it very much as all the usual sources are drawing a blank. Cheers Simon
sas pinkie
mmmm, I would love a Bedford TM one day, but having the newer liscence, I think I would have to do an HGV test, is that the case?
simon stolly
I'm afaid so, weighing in at 7800kg empty I can't see a way around it. :dunno: Still it's one of the things that I'm doing anyway and driving a TM is such a crack due to the high driving possition, just a shame I can't get it to the Overlord Show.
