Rover8FFR
Does Removing Paint using a stripping product affect the Galv. Think not but worth a query to preserve existing Galv finish on my toastie. Or have people immersed parts in another solution to remove paint and protect Galv ?? Ivor Ramsden
Paint stripper doesn't hurt galv or ally at all. You might find that it's not very effective on the thick yellow primer that the Army used on galv. It softens it but it doesn't lift it, so it takes a bit of effort to remove it. Rover8FFR
I suspect TA Regt just slapped it on neat mate, as it's sprawled off in areas. Even off DBG on bodywork. Thats for info though! :-D
Gordon_M
It won't lift galvanising that is properly attached, however it may well lift anything that is loose, but then you would want that gone anyway.
