WCMatt
Getting ready to order some parts from Caddock's for my SIII light weight restoration. Just wondering what is the going rate for a Military tow jaw? It seems to me that the price Carddock's is asking is a bit steep. http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/other/military/parts/towing-equipment/nrc2051-military-tow-jaw.html#tabpage1 . Maybe I'm looking at the wrong one? What does the Hive Mind think? Regards, Matt
ruxy
One photograph seems to be a genuine Dixon-Bate (now Bradley Doublelock). The other photograph seems in shadow , has indications that it is a Chinese copy LoL ------ The price would be realistic (off Craddocks) for a brand new D-B , however they can be had cheaper (lots cheaper) , watch the eBay comedians listing the larger size fitted to Bedford 4 ton etc. (that is worth less). Sean N
Well, their price is their price, and presumably they've pitched it at a price that they think it will sell at and will maintain their profit margin... ...on the other hand, there are plenty on Fleabay at a quarter to a half that price. WCMatt
Thanks for the replies. I went on UK ebay and yes there were quite a few on there for less. I've ordered from Caddock's before and have had good experiences with them. I plan on doing more business with them in the future. Their price for a tow pintle seemed rather steep to me but then again, this is my first Landrover project & I'm used to American MVs and the prices for their parts..... Rangie
Bay of Fleas. I have bought them for between 15 and 40 pounds, with about 12 pounds postage. Strip and clean, grease and fit a fresh retaining pin and its good for another 20 years! Alec
