Rick W Posted May 31, 2013 Share Posted May 31, 2013 Been looking to mount my spare wheel carrier on the back of my 42 GPW. I've worked out where to mount it on the back thanks to some superb customer service from Cliff's daughter Lucinda at Universal Jeep. Question is, I have a 3 bolt scripted bracket for the wheel mount, some pics I have seen show a support bracket on the bottom of the wheel, but there are no holes that I can see in the back chassis to mount the support bracket. Is this a later addition or a recommended option? I could see why as the spare wheel would place a lot of stress of the back panel.
