Jeep numbers...

BIG AL PRICE

Recommended Posts

What is the Jeep you have? ww2 or post war? import from where? this number looks like a modern VIN number no relation to any ww2 number which should be similar to the engine number,, but not the same, the chassis number tag on a Willys was a riveted on alluminium plate on the n/s front dumb iron, often missing, chassis frames were not stamped, only Ford gpw were, the engine number is ww2 Willys MB but again unless its a very early engine should have more digits, so not much can be gleaned from the numbers

Not sure where in the world you are ? the frame number on your document looks unusual.... nothing like I would expect a MB or GPW number to look like. As Nick notes your engine number is very low or missing some digits, some more information about the vehicle type would be useful to be able to provide a more definitive answer.

Cheers guys,

its from the philipines and supposedly WW2,and those are all the numbers that are on the registration documents from there.

its doesnt have the aluminium plate on the chassis,i'm just going on what the paperwork states.

it seems to be a mix of Willys and ford parts(has a Ford radiator, some parts for the top bow are F stamped etc)
