Tony B Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 Very dependent on whose ordnace it was and where it ended up. The Channel Islands during WW2 had Ordnace from France , Russia and Chezcoslovakia. Some of the stuff, has 19th century dates on it. A number of German and Austrian ordnace went to the USA following the Great War. At least one Big Bertha, the proper howitzer one, ended up at Aberden Proving ground, apparently used for testing ariel bombs before being scrapped.
