Bob Grundy Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Another con...... The DUKW had supposidley not run or moved for ages but when it was reversed out there was grass under it that was just the same apperance as all the rest of the grass. Vehicle was placed there just for the video. Quote
northrecce Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 I wasn't to happy with the way they spoke to Bob the previous owner . Like you say the grass was the same length as the rest around it and it wasn't patchy in colour then they have set out to make the old gent out to be stupid. Nice way to treat a veteran of ww2  Quote
AndyFowler Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Enjoyed the DUKW swimming but the rest was a bit staged as you say ! Not as dumbed down as the http://www.channel5.com/shows/classic-car-rescue/episodes/e-type all my favorite cars but staged in such an annoying way that I can't stand the programmes ! Oh I do miss Fred Dibnah ! :-D Quote
Degsy Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Oooh that's scary:shocked:.....I thought was looking at a picture of myself Quote

The presenter, a commercial vehicle mechanic called Guy Martin, could possibly become the new Fred:-D Quote

I know its a difficult thing to get right but thats why Fred is the legend in my book he just made it all seem so natural ! :-D Quote
Degsy Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Hi Andy, Fred was a one off and I don't suppose we'll ever see the like but I think this lad has something. He did a previous series which I think was on the BBC based on restoration of a narrow boat. Quote
