Big ray
You should have kept quiet Ray I thought Dukebox was a German version but there again my brains going mushy in my early 50's! Thank you for making an old man feel much better........ I have some fantastic memories..... how I wish that I could do it all again. I talk with many friends of my age, and we all agree that we have lived through what we believe to have been the best possible time, we had very little, but life was full of promise. AlienFTM
Great programme!!........found it by accident and very much enjoyed it. My younger cousins were there off and on from about 1979 til 1990 ish one in the Infantry (Gloucesters) ... t'other in Chieftain Tanks.....(Guards ...can't remember now..was it the Coldstreams ?? :undecided:) anyways ! ..good prog!! Wouldn't be the Coldstreams: there were and are foot guards (though there were Coldstreams in tank battalions of Guards Armoured Division 1944-5). During the period in question he would have been in one of: 1st The Queens Dragoon Guards Royal Scots Dragoon Guards 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards (cannot think of any others) Note that these were line cavalry regiments and (dragoon) guards only by title.
