.303fan
i have a shell thats 105mm and is electronic ignited, never seen anything like it, and wondering is it rare? or from something special? second is about a military issue carpenters box. i have been given that box as a empty wooden box, all that could rust did rust but i think it's worth of restoring. what type of tools should be in there? it gives me something to hunt for tools, in hopefully good enough condition to use at shows aswell. thanks for your time, Arjan
andym
Hmm - what do you mean by "electronically ignited"? Do you have any photos? Andy

Richard Farrant
Arjan, From your photo, the "shell" is actually the case only, am I right? I think this is a starter cartridge for a jet engine, from the markings on the base. Could be wrong of course :undecided:
Adrian Barrell
No Richard, I think you're right. True to form, as always!

.303fan
Thanks to the both of you. i did see starter help in form of small canisters one needs to puncture, never one like this. i bought a large box of uniform bits, a enfield rifle and that case on the bottom, labeled Sherman tank shell. now labeled correctly, thanks.
