hoppy
Hope I have read it some where (can not remember where) or is just my jeep that sometimes; not very often mind you, that jumps out of 2nd gear. Normally it's just after taking junctions and accelerating away. :-|
0 Tony B
It's more of a Land Rover habit. Check oil levels in main and transfer box, though it sounds like wear.
0 Enigma
Probably worn 2nd gear. Not uncommon but may be a sign of things to come.

0 Pete Ashby
Jumping out of second on over run is the more common fault, either way as others had said it's time for a box out and rebuild. Check all shafts, bushes and thrust washers against factory specs and replace if out side tolerance values. The cost of and availability of parts is such now that it's not worth putting worn parts back in. Check all bearings for ware and look carefully at the syncro hub, toggles and blocking rings also the shift rail detent springs and balls. Have a look here http://g503.com/forums/ there are a series of articles with photos that take through a T84 gear box strip and rebuild step by step. 0 Enigma
My brothers Jeep used to jump out of second. It got resolved after the entire 2nd gear went entirely, he had to change gears from 1st straight to 2nd. He bought a reconditioned gearbox and got some money back for the old one.
