Olive Green PLCE Rifle Grenade Carriers

Recommended Posts

I'd like to add one of these to my PLCE collection, but other than the one in the 'Modern British Webbing Equipment' book and one picture I've found on the web they seem to be non-existent. Were they a trials item or something?

I've got a few of these, in used condition......they were intended to be strapped to the side of the rucksack......

DPM version was of skeleton construction........not sure how much these were used in reality, but they were indeed issued.....

Thanks. I've never seen a picture of the rear of one before, so that's my knowledge increased by 50%.:)

You are welcome, going to upset you now though, I think I paid £1 for 1 possibly both, it pays to look through the bargain tat piles at shows!!;)

A follow up as I've just acquired what appears to be a DPM version of the olive pouch off of eBay. Note that it has the same NSN, but a different designation.

I had no idea these even existed. Does anyone else own one / has seen one?

Cheers,

Mark

I was issued this to replace 58 pattern..Came with Bergen that the sides  could be removed and zipped together made a daysack....Just plain olive Green not DPM..Even a x2  40mm Rifle Grenade case was issued and used in Northern Ireland....

Came across one of these recently and added it to my kit. I never saw them when I served and can't seem to find anywhere that has them, a rare bit of kit indeed.

Now to find a second one and I'll be sorted.
