look out for the OC with the UHF Pye Pocket Phone (PF1) the transmitters and the receivers were in separate hand held units.the radio on the man looking for the UXB I think was a D.O.R.U transmitter on 430 MHz Receiver Duplex on 449 MHz – 447 MHz. the base unit had a tape recorder....brave people !

Being outside of the UK, I can't view the programme on the bomb disposal training.BBC block transmissions, probably to gain royalities when sold to other countries. Even so the programme is dated by some decades now.

Would any one have a copy of this on Cd they would be prepared to share?

For those outside the UK there is a fairly easy and free way to watch iPlayer/ITV Player/4OD etc.

 

Download the Firefox browser and install the 'Stealthy' add-on. Then in the configuration menu set your country as GB.

 

Sometimes you'll need to turn it off then on again and sometimes it doesn't like the java on the websites, but normally it's fine.

 

I'm watching the BBC4 programme ( Part of a wider BBC4 British Army video collection ) about the 17th/21st Lancers in BAOR during 1968 whilst in Paris at the moment and about 5 minutes in there are a fair few ferrets happily motoring!
