The General
Hi All. I just thought I would share this information with you all. I was recently given the nod on this DVD by a mate, i dont really like Al's comedy style, but this DVD/series shows him in a new light. The 2 DVD set shows Al travelling WW2 battlefields, interveiwing veterans, and using WW2 vehicles and equipment. He travels from the British coast through Normandy ending up in Berlin via his trusty Jeep. Now down in price on Amazon to £3.95, this is definatly one to buy. Enjoy: cheers, Tim. julezee001
He's clearly interested in the subject, as I believe he'll probably be at War and Peace show sometime this week to get a closer look at some of the vehicles! Jules

GoranWC51
I think that he actually drove a Hotchkiss M201, posing as a genuine wartime Jeep, and not a WW2 Willys MB/Ford GPW. The series wasn't bad, though. He presented it well. Goran N

Toner
I'll admit to not liking Al Murray's comedy but I did enjoy this programme. He came across as someone who knew a bit about the subject and didn't glorify what happened.
