Bedfordrl
Hi. In the winter I stripped the master cylinder on the RL after brake problems, the only item that needed replacing was an aluminum shim ,this I had made up by an engineering firm to the same size. Since then I have found that the brake pedal is very slow to return after being pressed, any ideas before I strip the whole lot again?. Thanks. robin craig
Does it have good pressure ie feels normal when you actuate but just slow coming back? If it is soft on actuation I would say it is air. The lines are longer than a normal car and you may have a bleed issue. my 2 cents worth R
cosrec
Sometimes the rubbers swell if removed when taken out of the cylinder and left out for a period of time hence when built back up they have extra drag on them
Bedfordrl
Thanks for that guys, will look at re-bleeding and rubbers. Ta.
