Well that is very interesting that it is in Scotland! I guess time travel can happen then!

Take a look at this thread I started on Maple Leaf Up:-

Looks slightly dodgy doesn't it, I only skimmed over it before.

Have a look here its listed as a members vehicle 00EC13.

The advert could be correct but the easiest way to find out is to email him directly as he is listed as being the Safety Officer http://www.scottishmvg.org/10.html

Hi Robin

Yep that's mine as it was delivered.

00EC13, a Mk1/2 that at some point has been given a Mk1 roof.

I've contacted the website with the advert and have reported it as a scam.

Last time I checked, the advert was still up, so that shows how seriously the site takes scams

I will take more direct action if it is still up on the weekend. Don't have time friday

I have reported it again an linked to this thread and gave them my contact details.

I will get him sorted if I can.

Thanks Tony

Unlikely anything. I recently asked the police for advice on facebook stalking and aggression including incitrement to murder. The rather aggressive reply was that I shouldn't bother them and take it up with facebook! Looks like the web is cowboy and vigilante country!

Maybe I'll tell you about the time some local "yoofs" tried to torch the ferret.. The short answer from the police was "We know who it is but we can't do anything about it".

It just makes me so happy that my complaint was taken seriously by the website when i linked my email to this thread, so this wonderful forum that Jack created works and some scumbag has been foiled.

Robin

I'm a bit ticked off that someone nicked my photo to do this.

On the one hand, (and trying to be even handed) the website had a specific warning to potential buyers that they should not buy sight unseen.

On the other hand, they didn't seem bothered that I could identify myself and the vehicle in the picture as belonging to me:

In Scotland

Not up for sale

Not even in one piece (gearbox woes)

etc etc until you linked to this forum.
