Hi all,

Does anyone have any info / details / piccies on Claribel, a radar type device fitted to Land Rovers in Northern Ireland, which indicated from which direction a round had been fired?

There was mention of it in a book on the British Army in NI.

Paul the sickening things is that at W&P about 20 years ago Anchor Surplus had a whole crate of Claribel units & none of us realised what they were!

I have seen another thread with this name. If it wasn't on HMVF, it must have been on ARRSE. Drifted off into some weird stuff including IIRC ZB298. But lots of descriptions of Claribel as used in NI, especially some of the big sangars in Belfast.
