diver99
I had a conversation with David Fletcher at the Tank Museum about these. Although the idea is exciting, in practice it was not a great success. I believe when Typoons fired the rockets there was an element of point your aircraft at the enemy vehicle. Firing from turrets was similar to Stalin Organ aiming. Just Guards Armoured had a go i believe. Would liked to have seen one firing though. Grasshopper
I believe they were used mostly to clear road blocks.

Pzkpfw-e
The Sherman Calliope (T34) was more succesful. "Few" produced (200?) The one pictured with the pair of 60lb rockets, was called a Tulip, produced by the 1st Battalion, Coldstream Guards for the Rhine crossings. Numbers? I doubt if there are any official figures, as it looks like a unit conversion job.
