Great War truck
What makes this picture so special: Answer: . . . . . The man in the middle Lt Rendell (2 Para) is an escaped prisoner of war. At a travelling fun fair he observed two Germans firing at a rifle range. If you were to hit the bulls eye a camera would automatically take a photograph of you. Rendell exasperated by the Germans abysmal performance took the rifle, fired and scored a bullseye. Stopping to collect his photo he then slipped away. Rendell died 22 September. Zero-Five-Two
Nice touch by Mr Rendall, must have taken some bottle, or sheer brass neck, given the circumstances
