LeeEnfield
Anyone local to this company ??...(castletown, portland) If so, anyidea why they are not answering their phone,(or getting back to left messages, for that matter) I know, a while ago, the dukw was awaiting seals before venturing afloat, but not being able to contact them,....and the web site not available, seems to me that they've gone PHUT............... Was hoping to book a trip as a supprise for me dad, who instructed on them........ Cheers. Andy
john fox
Hi Andy Can't help re Dorset but are you aware of these guys: http://www.londonducktours.co.uk/ Yes you guessed it they do tours of London in a Dukw, obviously tourist orientated and the Ducks are rather modified, (diesel engine and of course a big yellow cab) but it might be a fall back option? Jack
HI Andy. Done some calling around for your today. I spoke to the company, and you are right, they have gone out of business. I was told that the DUKW has now wheels and no driver, in fact the DUKW is up for sale. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for your dad. Best wishes. Jack. Joris
$ 25.
ArtistsRifles
$ 25.000 Thats only about £13,130!!! If I thought there was a chance of getting a DUKW in the UK for that sort of money - even one sans wheels - I'd be risking divorce with a second mortgage!!!
