Tony B
Saturday 1st May , Channel 4 had two documentaries, Building British Surperweapons, these were about the V Force and develpoment of British Hydrogen bombs on Christmas Island. A lot of colour film of British military vehicles of the time.
Lewis Garner
Luckily I caught all three on More 4 last night, a very interesting programme indeed. Between £500-600 million spent on Blue Streak, and it never flew as a missile. . Dad and I were wondering only the other day how this country ever managed to feed our efforts in the Cold War. Regards, Lewis
LarryH57
"how this country ever managed to feed our efforts in the Cold War". In those days nothing we bought was made in China, Taiwan, India, Malaysia or Indonesia! I remember seeing the first Transister Radio made by Sony and everyone at the time thought it was a little cheap and that the Japanese electronics industry would not come to much! How things have changed :cool2:
