This one is "Going Postal" about the trials and tribulations of Moist Von Lipwig as Postmaster of the Ankh-Morpok Postal System - complete with Golden Suit and Winged hat.... snowtracdave Posted April 23, 2010 Share Posted April 23, 2010 A pity they couldn't have stuck with Jeremy Irons for the Patrician - his interpretation was pretty good in The Colour of Magic although I've always pictured Alan Rickman since I first came across the character . He did signings at the largest and smallest bookshops in UK (obviously we have the smallest on Hayling!) my mum got the very first published book!!!!!!!!. The pictures are must better when formed from the words of Terry! Also with PC, how are they going to get round Adora Belle smoking like a chimmney? So why watch Sky's Fanatsy when I can have my own? I've followed the series since Colour Magic was first published. It was broadcast on Radio 4 in Woman's Hour book of the week. The clothing bears no resembalance to the styles Terry Pratchett imagines, and are seen in the pictures of Paul Kidby. Another reason for me not getting Sky. Discworld is flat and caried through space on the back of Four elephants, Berilia, Tubul, Great T'Phon and Jerakeen, which stand on the back of the Great A'Tuin, a turtle .Apperars they have. Especially when translating literally, in dialect or using synonyms...or worse. "Ik wit wa gij denkt, hek 5 of 6 keer geschôte...vulde oe eige gelukkig tuig?" It gets worse in German...
