Finn
Good morning guys, has anyone got an idea what this tool is called. And what it is for? I found it in an Ex Mod tool box. The numbers you can see go from 1-8 Cheers, Finn
Tony B
Looks like a tool for seeting static timing or a clutch allingment. I would guess the numbers adjust to give an angle?

fesm_ndt
Was the toolbox specific to any vehicle? Mind you so we can guess its something used by the UK Mod I just looked through the Pinz special tools but don't get a match. We do have a pulling off tool though! Tony B
#do the twoi Allen keys on the front adjust the position of teh numbers? I wonder if it may be for setting up a disiel injection pump or such like.
phil munga
it looks as though it could be used for setting tension , the end would push into the part to tension then tun the part with the numbers on which on the underside will be located into part of a frame or engine case ?? Finn
Unfortunately the tool came not out of a box which was assigned to a specific vehicle. The Allen keys go trough the plate where the numbers are on. And trough the plate underneath. If I unscrew them, I guess both 'rings' can turn. I have not the tools here to do this at the moment. there is one more allen key at the side (you can see it on the first picture, although its hard to see). This one holds the lower plate (where no numbers are on) together. The lower ring is open at one side. I made another picture.
fesm_ndt
It don't look that old. Hence I keep hoping it's a Pinz tool as then I would be nagging you . I will send a copy to a guy whou knows everything about said tools and ask him.
