Enigma Posted October 26, 2009 Share Posted October 26, 2009 This we we remember the Battle of Den Bosch with veterans of the 53rd Welsh div. Good to meet up with the veterans, a lot of whom are personal friends of ours. Yesterday was a rugby match between the Den Bosch and Welsh teams....Den Bosch won.... In the evening a silent march from the Welsh monument to city centre (about 1 mile). The veterans could go into a bus with the rugby teams, schoolkids and civiliand walking. A few veterans walked the route including Owen Butcher (East Lanc). When I asked if he was allright or wanted to go on the bus he said he wasn't old enough to go on the bus....(he's 84).
