  1. We attended as a family yesterday, for the second time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. A short video for now, then images later this afternoon.
  2. 10 x Squire 220 keyed alike padlocks arrived today, well impressed for just £85 delivered.
  3. All progress is good progress :-D I get the feeling air leaks & Militants go hand in glove. I've had two obvious leaks on mine fixed prior to going into bodyshop, it's improved the ability to hold the air but it won't hold all of it overnight. No current audible signs of a leak. My missus uses some fly & wasp killer spray to kill spiders, think it's from Aldi in a blue & red can.
  4. Didn't include the two on the Jerry can holder either!
  5. I've left it one third extended currently Iain as there's a narrow gap between the barns which leads back to the front of the bodyshop & I don't want any mishaps, I'll go back & fetch them out soon.
  6. One of these spotted 1610hr today heading north on M1 by J29a.
  7. I received a call from the bodyshop yesterday, asking if I could move the spare wheel off the back deck. I said I could & attended this morning. I was initially a little disappointed to still see the Mili pretty much as I left her the other week, save for a few trial/test patches they'd done with their paint. After a a quick discussion it transpired the bodyshop owner was still suffering after falling off a ladder recently (is this becoming a common theme with militants & insecure ladders?!). He told me he now had 20 litres of the correct paint and would be cracking on with it over the next few days. I took these few snaps, it was surprisingly hot work at eight thirty in the morning, the temperature already at 20c. The boom is at full reach, not bad for only having one extension.
  8. Check all tyres have the correct load rating to conform to the the more detailed VTG 7T plate cert too (photo of yours is the 6T cab plate). We've had failures on nearly new vehicles nationally, though touch wood not my depot, because of incorrect load ratings. If the 7 plate didn't come with the truck you can order it here https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/507502/replacement-hgv-plating-and-testing-documents-application-form-vt59.pdf we send all our trucks for a voluntary loaded brake test (test centres usually have a loaded test trailer) at £10 per axle and headlamp beam set £10 as these tend to be common failure areas, only a few DVSA testers will let you correct the beam on the test itself if you don't go for the voluntary before hand. 10. Evening Gents, Been quite foretunate with the cab roof, no leaks I've yet discovered. Interior isn't perfect but not too shabby either, think it was the first job I did - sanded & hammerited it. Good tip on the sealant. Anyone know where to get the cab interior duck egg (engine blue?) paint from? Cheers, Nick.
  11. Thanks, looks good. Wonder what the story was there then? I've contacted a number of Foden owners with a view to posting a Foden register thread on here shortly
  12. Any photos of yours John? when I was on Facebook there was a good ex military Foden group, I bet most of those may know who owns what & what regs etc. One lives up the road from me with Shiptons recovery.
