  1. So as i understand there are a large amount of rare military vehicles sat up at the former RAF base at Folkingham, in Lincolnshire. I have to ask. Is the land containing these old vehicles still MOD property or is it privately owned? Also does anyone know whether the owner/s intend to ever sell off some of these rare machines (such as the Antar's)? and, has anyone actually recovered some vehicles from the site? Any response would be appreciated.
  2. A video tour for now, will post images & text tomorrow. now with better video link below

Camping is also available for modern tents and caravans and there is entertainment on the Saturday night with a ticketed dance featuring the Ashby Big Band and a cabaret night on the Sunday featuring a variety of well known 40’s entertainers. There will also be entertainment on the Friday with music and dancing in the marquee. There will be plenty for the children to do also with grenade throwing and rifle drill sessions throughout the weekend. Travel back in time to see & hear what your parents, Uncles, Aunts and Grandparents did: The Mid Lincs MVT is holding their 5th War Years weekend on the above date this year. We are a non-profit making event so any monies raised after expenses will go to the charities, Air Ambulance, Royal British Legion and Marie Curie Cancer Care. Please visit our website www.raucebywarweekend.co.uk to have a look at what it’s all about, It is also to help keep people informed or you can phone 01529 488354 or 07713074418 to get further advice. We have a large marquee booked to hold a 1940’s Victory Ball for three hundred people on Saturday night with the Ashby Big Band and supported by Paul & Natasha Harper, Paul being an ENSA entertainer and all backed by the most popular DJ Major Swing. This is a ticket only dance. Tickets are £12. The entertainment on Friday and Sunday night is free. The marquee will also be used for various demonstrations like fashion shows, hair demonstrations (have your hair done 40’s style for the evening dance), and dancing etc. We will be having living history displays, re-enactors (people promenading in all sorts of different uniforms), and a large selection of military vehicles and classic cars with various stall holders Military & Civilian selling their wares to keep the public entertained.
