  1. miliblog.co.uk, doesn't quite have the load capacity I fear http://www.mod-natodisposals.com/ljdbase/mobile_view.php?editid1=33061
  2. Iain - don't suppose your donor vehicle has a spare cupola pad I could purchase off you please?
  3. A smorgasbord of MVs on the M1 this afternoon between J18-24 all heading north; 6 Metcalfe Farms low loaders each with two CVR(T) of various types, two 6 wheel Iveco rigids, one tipper one flatbed hiab with a pump on the bed & a LR Wolf on the back of an AA transporter.
  4. We (Burnt Tree now Enterprise rental) haven't required to see O licences to rent our tractor units out for a number of years now. I don't know whether that's come from our insurers, law makers or company policy. They typically rent for £360+vat per week / £72 per day but you need an account with us. As an aside, we've been instructed to run on our 'older' units (61 plates) as the used market for units is very depressed at the minute. I did see one of our units at w&p a few years back.
  5. Nice work, your photos reminded me my cupola is missing one of the three pads - are they still able to be purchased or easy to make?
  6. Today 1150hr M6 northbound J18 two Metcalfe Farms low loaders, one with 6 wheel airfield fire tender partial VRN 'RF' & the other with 4 wheel fire tender. Fuether south on M6 ten minutes later, two RAF Oshkosh Close Support Tankers.
  7. Sorry for late reply Iain, yes thanks, that could be very useful if you're ok to part with it? Will be sorting out the seat in a few months time, I hope, as I've got a house move to organise now too
  8. I think the 'hoarding bug' affects many of us too, whether it's MVs, parts for MVs, books, coins, stamps, whatever. The chap I bought my Mili off had some British classics rusting away in the brambles 👎🏼
  9. ...my drivers seat is out of a DAF XF95, previous owner binned the correct one
  10. Hi Iain, Along with the Iveco seat the last owner put in, I have these two below. I got it into my head that I'd seen one with a passenger height adjustment but looking at photos of others, I must have dreamt it! I have a trim repair man close to me but a bit far for you to use I guess.
  11. [video=youtube_share;m4cdOB_RsN0] One of Bruce Cromptons trucks in a spot of bother, Foden EKA near the end. Volvo Low loader driver not hanging about.
  12. I too need to sort my passenger seat, I acquired an original but am missing the height adjuster. I have a NOS seat which is slightly smaller and am still yet to decide whether I 1. Fit the original seat minus the adjuster (seen it done, looks very low) 2. Original seat with cannibalised NOS adjuster or 3. Re trim the Iveco seat the previous owner put in to make it more inkeeping. I'm not sure I could tackle your engine job! I'm envious of your storage facility 😀. Keep the photos coming.
  13. Ive been watching through the 'My5' app on my iPhone, easier than trying to use the browser to do it, works the same as Iplayer & Itv hub etc. good description of events, well recalled. Someone usually uploads them to YouTube eventually too.
  14. I rarely use mine either, works well on the few occasions I have though. Mine had the hoses missing so I used black Hoover hose instead.
  15. CMG's Foden 'Sally' on Ch 5 Winter Road Rescue S2E2, seen between 25-33minutes in http://www.channel5.com/show/winter-road-rescue
  16. Yesterday morning, Foden EKA still in green but working for Shiptons recovery of Foston, South Derbyshire
  17. First update of the new year! Chasing two body shops to get the militant in & sprayed BS 285 NATO green so I can actually go to shows this year in the Midlands, prices quoted so far range from £1500 to £2000.
  18. Sorry, didn't see the previous post - please delete
  19. [video=youtube_share;YlnveNUd7KY]
  20. Hello Phil Thats a nice collection you have there - especially the Scammell. Dinky toys & plastic model kits definitely got me hooked on MVs, that and my first trip to Tank Museum at Bovy regards Nick
  21. An another floor I found an even better example of the same Striker complete with red missiles for £16, I'd of only lost them anyway 😬 They're certainly asking high for the boxed antar when compared to the 'as new' on eBay
