  1. A few pictures that I took when I attended the event on the Sunday. (Copyright Scott Smith)
  2. Saw this one at Dorset last week. Thought you might like these pictures.
  3. I went along to the show on the Sunday and apart from the terrible rain shower we had about 1pm I had a really good time. Didn't have chance to post any photos before I went to Dorset on Monday and with still being here at the moment I won't get chance until Monday.
  4. A few I took when we visited the museum in May.
  5. Well we have had a bit of set-back over the past few hours. Went to have the towbar fixed on the Gipsy and then notcied that there was petrol leaking from the tank. Turns out that the tank is cracked meaning that the Gipsy will not be making the trip to Dorset this year . We shall still be coming down though (albeit without the Gipsy), so still hope to see some of you around. It seems that we have a curse hanging over us though when it comes to things going wrong before Dorset, as two years ago the water pump went the day before we due to set off for the show and now this happens!
  6. Looking at the weather forecast's it looks like it is going to clear up on Friday and then we could well be in for a dry spell. With plenty of experience of Dorset if we can get a good day of dry weather then the ground usually firms up again. Lets hope so anyway!
  7. It's one of Carters Scammell Highwayman. If you look closely it's actually the same vehicle appearing from three different garages as they all have number 12 on the bonnet.
  8. We shall be in attendance with the Austin Gipsy from Sunday 29th, hope to see some of you around.
  9. Could well be this one as it was from the same area, http://www.milweb.net/classifieds/large_image.php?ad=52849&cat=4
  10. There is the Great Dorset Steam Fair at Tarrent Hinton, nr Blandford Forum on for five days at the start of September (Wednesday 1st until Sunday 5th). It always has a good military turnout but be warned you will need more than one day to see everything on offer at the show!
  11. I might pop along but only as a spectator as haven't booked the Gipsy in. There is something on at Walsall Arboretum as well though which I might go to and I have only got one day free this weekend!
  12. It was described as a Mack Bulldog of 1944 vintage when the owners were spoken to in the arena.
  13. And now a few that have got fire service connections.
  14. We spent the last weekend at the Odiham Fire Show in Hampshire (don't worry I'm not going to post too many red things on the forum!). There were quite a number of military vehicles dotted around the show site though so I thought I would share them on here. I'm guessing that the Thornycroft (Reg: ED 1617) was built during the First World War for use in that conflict? I will start with the non-fire vehicles first!
  15. A few more of the military vehicles on display today.
  16. Went to the Trimpley Vintage Rally today, which is located not far from Kidderminster. It is only a one day event and this was the first time that we had been to it. There were about a dozen or so military vehicles on show, which you can see in the pictures below.
  17. A bit strange to have this on a Friday I always thought that it was on a Saturday/Sunday when I have been before. I suppose it is the school holidays though. Nice pic's anyway. Is that a Dakota in the first picture? if so I think it could be the same one as from when I went before:
  18. Attached are a few that my dad took during our time at W&P.
  19. Watching the video again I was wondering where all these featured DUKW's came from? I notice that one has an Australian flag on it and another a Norwegian flag.
  20. Excellent video, what a sight it must have been to have seen all these DUKW's in the water again! Where did you sail from in the UK?
  21. I think the Street View pictures were all taken from about April/May 2009 until the end of August/September 2009 so they would be pretty up-to-date.
  22. We spoke to the owner and it now resides in Germany having travelled some 800km to the show.
  23. This Land Rover was at War & Peace, does anyone know where it spent it's time while in the MOD? It's Army registration was 50 EP 03.
  24. Hi guys thanks for the comments about the photo's glad you enjoyed them. Will have a look what else I have got in the morning. In the meanwhile here is a short video of the Red Arrows doing what they do best on Thursday afternoon at the show. I have also got one of the Reo convoy leaving the arena on Thursday evening but haven't had chance to upload it to youtube yet. Hi Andy, I think we may have passed you on the way home from the show then if you were travelling home last night. It would have been around the junction of the M25/M40 about 8.15-30ish? Nice pictures BTW!
