  1. I'm sorry you can't get cover, I use the company mentioned and I have had nothing but First Class service from them over the years, so it may just be they do not understand the vehicle type and you need to get to actually speak to someone higher up who can help you. Currently I insure my '43 Ford GPW, Chevrolet G7107, Capri 2.8, Skoda Estelle :-D, London Taxi and a Lambretta LI 150 with them and they always go out of their way to help.
  2. Hi Andy, may be a stupid question but have you tried your local MVT group ? I have found in the past the breadth of knowledge among its members invaluable and have never been stuck for help or advice :-D Most "modern" mechanics have little knowledge of older vehicles so if the MVT route fails try older long established garages they may help in some way. There's a old school mechanic round here who can turn his hand to anything and it's the same all over, another place to try is your local classic car club, again they will no doubt have a favourite garage/mechanic who is up for a challenge Best of luck mate.
  3. Great story, thanks for posting.
  4. Wow, do you want to do mine ??
  5. I agree, far too long coming but at last they have recognition and we should never forget what they did. Hopefully this will ensure this never happens. :-)
  6. Finally the brave men and women of Bomber Command get their recognition. With the memorial in London and now this it's good to see they are not forgotten. God Bless them all. :saluting:
  7. Looking good Try agricultural merchants for your battery leads they will usually make them to order with the correct ends etc. D
  8. Welcome to the HMVF, plenty of Land Rover fans on here
  9. I'm booked to go too but as yet have had nothing definite from the MVT regards what's on etc. No doubt as it gets nearer we will get more info but will watch this space in case anyone does have any further details
  10. Welcome to the HMVF Graham, maybe a list of parts needed would help ?
