Found out a bit more. Its offical name is BLACKBOARD. Used in N.I. was remote controlled from backpack by fibre optic cable, this was not very reliable when fibre optic was damaged the vehicle went off on its own,not a good idea. 2 speeds forward 1 reverse. No info on internet that I can find, but still searching

Finished this now except for a few small details. All new brake cylinders hoses and pipework, new tyres ect. I have enjoyed working on this more than any vehicle before.

I beleive it slides right off. I think it may have had some ramps from the back of chassis to floor and rollers on rear of bed but lots of parts are missing. I would love to see another to copy missing parts or a manual or even photos.

Just bought this anybody know what it is and any information would be greatfully received. It did have remote control but this has been removed, it has a twin cylinder diesel Kubota and hydraulic drive. The rear body drops off and back on again with electric winch. The front suspension is very like vw beetle with torsion bars, no suspension on rear. Handbrake is hydraulic with discs and callipers on front, no brakes on rear because when you release the drive pedal it stops instantly. Hand throttle . electric start. Should have 3 speeds but only low working at moment. Never seen another, don't know who made it but was built in 1992

The Hitchcock filter fitted ok when I had a co. I think the doughnuts were lockstops, but its been a few years. On Hitchcocks site they have a forum which is fantastic for finding out anything Enfield

The caps should be able to breath when screwed on, but I would leave on for a trickle charge but remove for a fast charge.

I have recently bought a Bedford RL with a Mine Cab, it is in fairly good condition but the engine was seized and the usual electrics U/s and brakes not working. We removed the cab and replaced the engine with one I bought a couple of years ago which runs really nice. New brake pipes and I have brakes, but the drums will have to be removed and everything cleaned. Replacment dynamo and control box and the main lighting switch stripped and cleaned and only one bulb blown. Looks like the only job to be farmed out is trimming the seats to a local coachtrimmer £150 seems resonable. The log book says date into service 1966 but was this built as a mine cab or conversion of an earlier GS cargo. Chassis no 6838048 RAF reg no 10AT83. Brakes are fitted with both Air and Vaccuum for trailers. Information and pictures of these would be gratefully received
