  1. The video played for me there were a few brief glimpses of some very rusted Vehicles I think one was a Matador aside from that the rest was just scrap metal
  2. a hung up or stuck brush in the starter
  3. What about the other three lower left that are not connected ? Good gosh if any thing happens to those sleeve tags on the wires and one is say re-installing a control panel , that looks to be a real pain to have to trace and test every single connection ! While it keeps things compact I can understand how a hidden single bad contact could set the bundle on fire.
  4. Shame the two idiots didnt give them selves hernia's while they were at it ! I can't believe the boldness of some of these theves ! Ahh not to worry about the smell You never really be rid of it as long as you have a diesel powered item what with a spill here or there , changing fuel filters refilling fuel tank a dribble or spurt . You learn to live with it soon you no long even notice it . Whats the OT-90 hold in gals. ?
  5. thats normal you have to choose when you want to see and when you want to go ! just let up on the gas now and then and they will take off , at any steady speed you can use the valve on the wiper motor for some speed control but as soon as you accelerate they will stop in their tracks , as far as I know the only fix for that habit is to change the vaccum units for electric ones. To help with the vision issue when the wipers are'nt moving it REALLY help to have some Rain-X on the Windshield or as You say over there the wind screen , It really works and keeps the rain on the glass in very small droplets that you can still see though and that the wind will push the drops off very nicely regardless if the wipers are moving or not .The rain will not sheet across the glass and drag behind the blade both of which make driving with those vaccum units more difficult
  6. and another short clip

  14. From reading about "tracta" joints for some time as used in British Vehicles I Goggled it and came up with this nifty article that explains how they work ! and how they differ from the other types of joints. http://www.monasfts.com/e_refer_01.htm
  15. Along the thread of the American south west as a training area before and during WWII I found a very good clip dealing with camouflage decoys and dummies mainly using 1/4 ton trucks (Jeeps) to be covered with canvas tank bodies and there are a few shots of Stuart tanks being given false canvas tops to appear as trucks. It would be interesting if either were recreated for a MV show now adays http://www.realmilitaryflix.com/public/564.cfm?sd=55 This site has Great WWI or the Great war combat flims as well as WWII both allied and axis and much more
  16. Good show you really have made a good deal of progress in a short time .

  19. Amazing that you were able to get any of those studs out of the top of the case , that one you showed looked so weakened !!! I m thinking since you cant use heat to loosen the studs and you dont want to break them what's your next move ? would you pass an DC electrical current through the stud to try and migrate the iron back to the stud and seperate it from the aluminum case ?
  20. yes I agree post #303 is a White Scout car cut in two at least both halfs are still there , pitty someone cut the rear armour for the skate rail and the front skate rail is cut as well , From what I have seen of other projects undertaken over there this one should be an easy weld together again job , wonder why it was cut and if the engine and transmission are still attached ???
