  1. Found a WWII photo of the reality of war time tire shortage note difference of tread front and rear . They used what they had at hand .   11. They almost made it , just needed a couple hundred more feet of altitude and they might have made it home .The photo's really give you a better idea than topographic maps. (at least for me )

  13. Do these deposits come about by failing to change the motor oil regularly and or is the oil distribution system sluggish ? I can imagine once the goo is that thick it cant be removed any other way than rodding it out.

  18. So Richard H. is that noise reduction at all speeds? and has that stopped the juddering in the trans as well ? While it may have been in hind sight a simple problem I can see how it could have caused lots of trial and error fixes so We can all learn the lesson you had to learn the hard way . Glad Markheliops saw the thread and had the fix.:coffee: :tup:: By the way has anyone had this on other model MV's ?

  20. yup the thread has been viewed 100 times any combination same people or new , same people only when a threads been updated or someone goes back to re-read a thread.
  21. I m sure that there are a number of other roller mfg's with similar systems I simply posted the Galion as it was the first I came across . I m also certain that there are a verity of wheels that could be mounted as long as the weight capacity was correct so the wheels could be the same as mounted on the dump truck or the rest of the operators fleet. I have no idea what make or model the roller is in your upper posting les freathy perhaps one of the others with set the record straight .
