  9. That is good news. Is the idea all MV registrations will be routed through this one chap?
  10. Cheers Pete. The comms stuff is all there and was working as the previous owner (before Andy) had it working. It also has the auxiliary generator and the PTO generator still in place. Some of the woodwork inside needs work but all the kit is there
  11. Hi Tony. I have the history I got from Andy but always good to get more if you have some. I am aware its set up as it was in the war but want to get some of the small things working again, window screens, penthouse tent and some of the furniture inside. Will PM you
  12. I have ventured into WW2 vehicles with my new toy, a 1942 Bedford QLR. Its going to be a long term project to get the whole vehicle, radio gear and other elements (penthouse tent, arials etc) as period correct as possible. This is a good vehicle to start with as it has most of this already and hasn't been "campered" I am sure some of you will recognise it, it was owned by Andy Kyte for the last 18 months or so I have collected yet but I must say I am very excited!!!
  13. That QL is nice, very complete looking. It's a pity things like this are just sat there rotting away...
  14. And you have sewing skills too! Everything needed for a top class restauration
  15. Great pictures, very atmospheric!
  16. welcome on board. Driving road an army range in the dark sounds fun
  17. are they reload rounds on the rear? 3rd photo down.
  18. Great pictures, not seen an Aussie Landy with a 105. I imagine they made use of the flechette round for breaking ambushes more than the anti-armour round (not much NVA Armour in the Aussie AO...). Details on the M40 105mm here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M40_recoilless_rifle
