  1. welcome on board. I also make models, mainly brit WW2 in small scale but also extend to anything else I fancy... keeps the collection bigger than I can fit at my storage for 1/1 vehicles
  2. Welcome on board. Quite fancy a Wolf as a good decent run about, something a bit quicker than the Dodge...
  3. Welcome on board, always had a soft spot for Champs since I went for a spin in one as a kid at a traction engine rally
  4. That looks fantastic, real testament to your skill as a modeller!
  5. Fantastic pictures and thanks for posting. You may want to put some text over them saying copyright or some such, just to stop them fining there way into publications without you knowing it. Its happened to pictures I own so maybe I am paranoid...
  6. it was an experimental type trialled during the Vietnam war, similar to the "chicken plate" armour used by heli crews http://www.vietnamgear.com/kit.aspx?kit=31
  7. Is that a Bofers gun on the back of a CMP in the foreground? I knew they put them on a Morris chassis butw asnt aware of the CMP version
  8. Very rare, well in this condition. Trousers tend to be rarer than jackets/smocks/shirts as they wear out much quicker (this goes for all militaria not just windproofs)
  9. Welcome on board. If I recall Lakin were based in West Norwood. I have always wondered the exact address as its just up the road from where I live. My father is into showland history and we always fancied going down to see what was left. You dont know the address of the factory do you?
  10. Welcome on board and I do have to agree a Dodge (WC54 or M37) is a good size vehicle to start with.
  11. I will be at the show in civvies, I have a place in Massingham so a nice poottle out. Its also my birthday so some nice ales will be consumed :nut:
  12. Welcome on board. The Swedish camo pattern is one of the best around, always had a soft spot for it!
  13. I have a couple I think in the shed, will dig them out. Could be a bit musty by now
  14. I happen to count the Producer in question, the Director and Production designer as mates. And trust me they are hardcore militaria collectors who have a passion for detail as well as producing good films. Not sure about the fashionista designed cammo outfit as it was an original 60's ERDL jacket topped by an original tigerstripe or ERDL boonie if I recall I have read the script and its damm good, pretty brutal but good.
  15. Looks great!!! We missed this (well we heard it...) as were manning the display, good to see you thee though mate
