  1. What is on the market is ***** expensive. There is an air soft version, but they too seem to be rocking horse poo.
  2. Stupid idea, the 'flash hider' is designed to vent the exit gases away from the firier. All you get by removing it is defeaned and a face full of debries.
  3. have a nose at http://www.askthe.police.uk/content/Q319.htm
  4. If you can ever work the logic out, get drunk! You are need of much help!:-D
  5. Colours tended to change with the batch. then with wear , dirt mud and fading you get all sorts of shades. Soldier of Fortune are doing good repros at the moment.Try photos on this site. http://www.actofwar.co.uk/essex/
  6. I was told back in the horse and cart days, always reverse for a few feet before diconnecting the four wheel drive anytime it was used. That was on my old Gipsy. When you jack the wheel up, does it unwind itself or do you need to assist?
  7. It may take a fair run backwards to unwind though.
  8. Most flu victims buried in CWWG cemetries are 1919-1920. Might be worth enquiring of the hospital, they may have details of the cause, the death certificate will be available that should have the cause of death.http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/
  9. I'm disapointed in you all, polypropolene rope? What a fabulous sight and sound. Congratulations to you all:-D
  10. I always carry 2kg dry powder on the vehicles. They were recommended by the Fort fire crew. May be messey, but hey puts the fire out! as we have Trumpton on forum, your expert suggestions please? Like oil and grease, a fire extingusher is cheaper than a new vehicle.
  11. Because you can't easily conceal a Bren. They are 'crew served' weapons which have dioffrent rules to personal weapons.
  12. If the Garand is in VCR colours, basically the entire rainbow, no problem . If it is in authentic coulours, then you'd be committinmg an offencer importing it, let alone displaying it. Unless you are an exempt person. which for us is 'A memeber of a recognised re-eanctment group, with Public liability'. Mind you no one says how many people need to be in a group, or who 'Recognises' them. You'll ned to show a photographic memebrship card that hs the public liability insurance number on it to any legitamite dealear, Main company for insurance is Hiscox Insurance. Though I did see for sale at the boot market at Finmere airfeild some soft air guns that would have been very questionable on the coulouring, no questions asked just cash. A de-ac Garand, cash please, just check the right proof marks are on the weapon, the certtificate is aditional.
