  6. Suprised he knew what a light bulb though. On the other hand a bloke went into a builders yard and asked the old guy 'Do you have 10 kg of sharp sand and 2 kg of cement, or would you prefer it in imperial?' The old guy looked at him :' Put how you like mate. We do it by the shoveful'. Though I did have one, well it looked vaguley human, get on the bus and present a travel card. I called him back and pointed out the card was invalid. He asked me why and I told him it was dated the 31 st. He rightly pointed out it wasn't the 31 st of the month. He was correct, except, his card was dated 31st of February. The pillock was going through a pocket diary (Though I was suprised he even knew what a book was) looking for February the 31 st.
  7. Best advice: 'KEEP TAKING THE TABLETS!!!!!!!' Sure beats the hell out of a Playstation though. Welcome in. :-D
  8. The last bit especially mate !:-D An incident with a Ford Escort, a garage with a bit of oil soacked carpet and a proffesional welder friend of mine comes to mind.
  9. He already has one of those. A friend who is a proffesional welder has given him some kit. Remarkable toys to play with.
  10. The film was Diamonds are Forever. These bikes are one of the most lethal things ever produced. There were so many farm acidents with them. They have a nasty tendency to climb over the back wheels at the slightest excuse. Someone I know was killed when the trike hit a stone going up hill and flicked straight over on them.
  11. At least at his age, he is quite happpy to wait till the 'January Sales'. :-D So range from about 30-40 to 150 amp, gas/ no gas seems to be the type to look for.
  12. Another Halford's one 'Is your Diesiel fuel injected?'
  13. Reminds me of one at the local Tesco filling ststion. I made the remark I could rememeber petrol at 35p per gallon. Young girl behind counter 'How many gallons in a litre?'
  14. Send it on down then! I've got a set of new snow chains I'm desperate to try out. :-D
  15. I think I've got it! Are they marks attached to vehicles , either a card in windscreen or on a board to designate the vehicles load during loading un loading operations?
  16. I've got two both by Ring. One is a six/twelve volt charger, the other is a Ring Smart Charge 8 only 12 volt but a great tool. It has borought several battries back from the edge of extinction.
  17. I must say there are worse places to spend eternity. When the CWWG came to consolidate burialas at Bayeux, the local population of Jerusalem kicked off. They made the point that they would not allow thier soldiers to be disturbed. They had come to the villiage and given their lives for the villiage. The villiage had cared for them and laid them to rest. They belonged to the villiage and villiage would care for and honour them! Must have been some row.
  18. Thanks for advice so far , gents.
