  1. Seems lifting or removing engine covers to increase cooling in the Middle East started early. Looks like it has been worked hard.

    Books!!

Get it right and there is Peace. Get Wrong and War on 25th? The battries never go flat on a book! Also you can hide behind it, and have two or three being read at the same time. Try doing that with a plastic and electronic slab! :-D AND the real clincher, can you imagine not being able to root around a small dark shop or boot fair stall and coming acros a musty dejected copy of something like Peter Scotts War in the Narow Seas, or Popski's Private Army.
  3. Trying to find suppliers! The clutch is slipping and as part of restoration the engine will come out so an ideal time to check and repair/replce everything. The car belomgs to a friend, this picture was taken after she came out blinking into the light after about ten years in a barn.

  5. Welcome Tom, a man of many parts! Spread all over the floor like the rest of us I suppose. :-D Know anything about 1939 Mk2 Wolsley clutches?

    Books!!

Very fishy! Still just struggled through a book called Dominion, what might have happned if Halifax had become Prime Minister instead of Churchill, don't bother lifes to short! Have just got the DVD of Redtails though, that's worth a watch. As for one to try, Robert Ryan's Early one morning is an intresting book, good story with plenty of WW2 history included.
  7. Ah yess, but at the time a lot of anti-freeze used was pure alcahol! :cool2:
  8. Do you wonder how we ever survived to Adult (?) hood?:-D
  9. Eh, yes! Wish I had the thing now! Creative and Educational? Well I got creative with the little white , very hard , rifle bullets and got eductaed with a slapped A** after breacking a vase NOT to shoot indoors! :-D And I refuse to go around with a 3.5 Volt Pifco ES bulb up my nose! Now we have to go with Noggin the Nog and Ivor the Engine! Though as far as Suoercar, face it boys! You'd want one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dUYwWY6T7Y
  10. Should just be a quick trip over the border, surley? :-D Maybe we should get a pack of paper dollies for Rosie? Be prepared! They can be used in all sorts of emergencies!
  11. Dat's De Beast! Be a good way to display one of the bikes though. Any idea what the coating is? Be intresting to have a 'distressed' vehicle to show.
  12. Who gave Jack the weather station then? Around here at 03:30, early shift, the wipers couldn't cope with the rain! Now still but boy is it getting cold! If the wet roads freeze going to be fun tommorow!
  13. Tiome to mention Supercar then! Wonder what insurance on that would be?:cool2:
  14. GERRY!! How could you not know!? :wow: The enemy were a fish/lizard race called Aquaphibians!
  15. Start ploughing up the Club House lawn for planting then? Tim you do relaise you have now talked your self into a corner! There has to be at least one vidio to prove it runs on wood.
  16. Not if you have no VC5. The first MOT actually starts the process of generating of document. I have to say in my case the local DVLA office at Sidcup went out of their way to be helpful, that's probably why local offices are due to close.
  17. There is an LRDG truck in similar state , discovered in 1982, in the Imperial War Musuem. That is unrestored but covered in a clear wax like stuff. Very evocative display.
  18. If you intend to drive on the day of expiry, CHECK TIME of cover! Technical detail but 'Anything can happen in the next half hour!' Better safe than sorry.
  19. CALM DOWN DEAR!! It's only a movie! (A total traversty I'll agree, but only a movie!)
