    Belzona

This is linked to the Belzona web site. Might well go on the wish list. http://www.belzona.co.uk/mbx.aspx
  8. With me and number one son's oily overalls, I may well try it in the washing machine! :-D Back on topic, there are a number of Biological Radiator flushes available now. They seem to work extremley well. A friend used one of this type on a Nissan Bluebird that had coolant looking more like Black treacle, after a couple of hours the water was coming out clear. I'm now desperatley trying to remember the name of the product (NO Degsy, not Areil!) They also do a helpful web site. Forte, thaa's the manufacturer!http://www.problemwithavehicle.com/
  9. De-ionised water can have its own problems. It wants to get the ions from somewhere, and it does from all that lovley metal about. Around London, and Richard may well have the same problem, the water is hard enough to eat! And of course, water softners use salt! Hence my suggestion of the rain water or dehumdifier water.
  10. Hermitie do a very useful high temprature gasket in a squirt tin with a variable nozzle. It allows you to go from a very fine bead to a thick dollop.
  11. Counciling is available. Just come down to the cellar, whilst we find the pick axe helves.
  12. We are talking micro grammes in a dish washer tablet. :-D
  13. Very pricey, I'd go down to your local motor factor, normally a lot cheaper, get an 'all engine' anti freeze and use fresh rain water (Plenty of that available) at a 50/50 mix. The rain is a soft water, without the nasty additives of tap water.
  14. Like the vehicles, all sorts of odd things happen. (Proably Jack, not knowing wether to put the English clock forward or back!)
  15. A number of buses in the country areas in the 1920's had dual use. During the day they were a bus, at night they changed to lorries and took stuff to markets. Whilst the wheels don't turn it don't earn! I think the side bars were a purley London thing.
  16. QUOTE=griff66;341158]why would anyone take the risk of using any of the above and not use a propriety rad flush???? thought dish washer cleaner has salt in it for example! Compared to many chemicals in propritory stuff salt is harmless! Besdies if you think about it, a dish washer tablet is designed to work in a metal machine with items used for food for human consumption. Check the ingredients of most cleaning products you'll find a surfacant to keep the muck in suspension and a chemical to release oxygen. I alwyas use water from a de-humidifier for my cooling system. The old manuals recommend rain water.
  17. Dilute down a couple of washing machine tablets and leave overnight.
  18. Can't think of the max size of hand. But on Photoscape you just use the resize sliders. So easy even I can work it.
  19. Add something like K Bar conditioner, keeps things clean and sweet, helps cut down corrosion.
  20. Photoscape is a free and easy way to downsize photos to fit.
  21. Looks like a Friday afternoon serial number. May have had to go to the Armourer for work/ repair and numbered by hand.
