  1. Why not ask Jack and stick it on here as a PDF or suchlike? Saves a lot of trees.
  2. To go in June, the Up side, lots of other people with green macines. The Down side, lots of other people with green machines. July, UK school holidays, August French holidays. May and September are the best times if you wish to be able to travel without restrictions and not get crowded out of the places of intrest.
  3. That is a question without end. Throw a stick anywhere in Normandy, and you'll land on something intresting. If you have the time, start at one end of the beaches and just follow the road. Everyone has thier own favourite places. Go inland and you have Caen, Tilly Sur Selles, Trun, Chambois St Lambert Sur Dive and the ford at Moissy. The Polish Memorial at The Mace is a must see There are lots of places to stay. The best bet is go to the Calvados tourist site and start there.
  4. Have you tried a freezer spray on it?
  5. Hide? I'd be going ***** quick in the other direction. Mind you with a .38 Webley the safest place is probably in front. A teacher of mine used to tell a story that he was stumbling about at night in France when an equally lost and confused German appered about 6 foot in front of him. At this point he leveled the trusty Webley and let go 6 shots rapid! The German was still standing blinking in amazment. Both then decided to turn sharply and run like hell. :-D
  6. What about the other two lurking behind the truck? :cool2: A quick junket through the Internet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betrayed_(1954_film) Sounds like it is loosley based on the Lindemans story.
  7. Not only the older vehicles. It seems to be a Discovery habit to collect mud and muck on the gearbox, so the transfer lever jams solid.
  8. Most of the seals and washers are leather and cork. You can make them yourself, but for the few pennies they cost I just order them.
  9. My condolences to the family, we'll miss him.
  10. http://www.johnmoncrieff.co.uk/pressurespares.htm try this lot or http://www.base-camp.co.uk/
  11. Is it trying to move stuck, or just engine running and not even attempting to move? Did it go into gear smothly?
  12. I can see a use for the Duracell though.:cool2: Look TFL Low Emission zone, it really is Battrey powered! :-D
  13. I had an old Series three Safari. Got so well known by the local recovery firm that when a truck drove into me a colleague who was visting the office told me that when a call went out for recovery for an RTA and the reg, everyone called in asking if they knew if I was OK.
  14. Welcome in. Research is an important part of the Forum
  15. Just remember the old adgage! A bu**er if they don't go . A disaster if they don't stop!
  16. welcome in. A lot of us deal with agricultural equipment as well, so no need to be shy.
  17. Welcome , you lucky man! I used to play with Renault 4's back in my youth. Great tools, 4x4 is almost redundant, they go places a lot of 4x4 fear to tread. Please post pictures. Most oils are standard, Elf being the recommended at the time. Engine 20/50 mineral.
