  1. HMVF is perhaps not the best place to ask for fenders as this Dodge is not really a Military vehicle as such, its entirely a 4x2 Civilian pattern Dodge supplied to the Military, ..American truck/pickup truck sites would better places to ask
  2. Going to be scarce thing to find good condition rear fenders, for a stepside pickup, repro fiberglass ones are available,.. Contact Bart at Fleetmasters & Co in Belgium, they restored a similar WC38 and regularly import vehicles/parts from the US https://www.facebook.com/pg/FleetmastersCo/photos/?tab=album&album_id=576062832478905 http://fleetmasters.be/en/
  3. The K9 Engine is Austin's own successfull 4 litre 6 cylinder petrol engine used extensively in their civilian & military Commercial range of trucks, Google search Austin Loadstar, used through the 1950/60s it was also fitted to the Austin Princess Limo, .its Not a Rolls B60 engine.. but Do not mistake it for the 1967 Austin Westminster Vanden Plas 4 litre R which the engine was derived from the Rolls B60, but was only used in the Vanden Plas R car https://www.gunmart.net/militaria/military-vehicles/jeeps/austin-k9-truck
  4. it could be a Brockway 666 crane truck
  5. not really, the likes of RR Services would have registered several ex military vehicles together so both Champs were registered at same time, back then were issued with consecutive reg. numbers, ....btw, DVLA shows HMF 951J still exists and is currently taxed
  6. , DVLA search shows HMJ 955F was last taxed in 1984
  7. T34 For Sale, located in Europe, http://vintagemilitaryvehicles.com/
  8. Higginsboat, you refer to a single Raiders truck, as I said in my previous post , there were Three identical replica Merc trucks built for the film, the link below are pics of Charlie Manns Lamanva museum with pics of the Three Raiders trucks, pics 10, 13, & 23 I knew of one of the trucks that Tony Oliver owned in 1984/5 but no idea what became of the other two http://miliblog.co.uk/?cat=304 Just found this online, Pic of the other Two Raiders trucks outside the museum or may have been at the auction sale when everything was sold
  9. DVLA search shows the FWM year of manufacture as 1981 https://www.gumtree.com/p/other-vehicles/fmw-ex-navy-tug-truck-used-in-the-war/1320125153
  10. If I remember right at least Three replica Mercedes trucks were built by Charlie Mann using lengthened 6x6 GMC chassis for the Raiders film, there was also complete cabs mounted on camera tracking rigs to film the fight scenes in the cab...the late Tony Oliver, who supplied all the other vehicles in the film, owned one of the trucks for some years after the film, I drove it several times on other productions, He sold it and it ended up in the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland Florida,
  11. Pic of the Bedford taken in 2016 in Norfolk http://www.travellerhomes.co.uk/?p=17215 and some old pics of it http://www.travellerhomes.co.uk/?p=10502 http://www.travellerhomes.co.uk/?p=859
  12. Anchor Supplies Military surplus shop has been badly damaged in huge fire involving other premises https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-46094570
  13. its nice reg number FUN 517D is no longer on DVLA system
  14. Makes a change to see a properly restored ex British ArmyJeep for sale. No issues with this one
  15. Oh dear...someone has stiched themselves up with right old cobble up of an overpriced Jeep
  16. seen it done years ago too, biggest problem is to relocate the axle mounted steering relay, bellcrank, there's no room on the right of the axle due to the offset diff, would have to resort to similar arrangement as used on the CJ Jeeps with the relay mounted on the front crossmember
  17. 1950's Military Morris 4x4 truck usefull for spare parts only as it looks bit too rough to make it worth restoring, if the truck is in Belgium to transport it back to the UK would cost far more than it is worth
  18. Self propelled gun rather than a Tank, no jump leads, just apply lots of muscle power
  19. doubt if the ANPR cameras are programmed to read the older style pre 1974 non reflective white on black number plates, the LEZ and Congestion charge zone ANPR cameras in London can't read them
  20. taking the MV on holiday is a temporary export, the OGEL is required, it is a UK requirement, Not required for travel to France, Belgium & Germany for MV's Over 50 years old.....although no one has ever been asked to show one, ...But after Brexit???
  21. Only Historic Military vehicles over 50 years old are exempt from an OGEL visiting France so a 1986 MJ Will Need an Open General export licence, a UK requirment, apply online, ...French truck laws are different to UK if the MJ is a cargo truck body could mean it probably if not already fitted will need a working tachograph and required to use it to drive in France ...if its over 7.5 tons gvw it cannot travel on roads at week ends too, ...a Lot to check up on, and get everything correct especially after next years March Brexit, .. https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/open-general-export-licences-ogels
