  12. I have been in discussion regarding the records of serving jeeps in the British army. We would like to build up a larger picture of known jeeps, as like myself people are interested in the keycards from deepcut. Our keycards list 16 vehicles per card that served. so postwar- number; chassis number; marker; hood number and most importantly contract I know not all info is known per card and that some are almost unreadable but I want to try. can I ask you to express opinions on this thread and I will start 2 more threads 1 for WILLYS and 1 for FORD Many thanks Ps M15 rebuilds are another interest that I hope this will help with gathering info.
  13. Thanks Richard, and I had already booked the Friday off work- had arranged for the Thursday eve drive. Looking forward to show already
  14. I have 4 wheels from 2 different jeep trailers and realised both sets were different in that 1 had riveted centre and 1 welded (funnily in each pair) so I that's easy sorted. Riveted centres - both have only 1 stamping that I can see 1967 WOF and other wheel WOF ??70 Welded centres between stud holes 45OE16 5NS9M VM 10 82 and the other wheel 45OE16 5NS9M CD 06 88 While I like the look of the rivets the welded are better in that the well is deeper by approx. 1/2" and boy removing the tyres is easier with levers Can anyone tell me what I have by these codes :thanx: Thanks
