  1. Looking Good Ian ...with this weekend show you should be at 100 GMC's.. Shouldn't this Post be a Sticky ??? ken
  2. Another great show …on the whole the weather was very kind ..Only one thunder storm on the Sunday ( 20 Mins or so ) but on the whole lots of sunshine .. A much bigger show again with lots to see from wild west re enactors to the modern day.. The bar was a great attraction for may not only because of the beer but 40’s music and fashion shows .. Some great battles in the arena Chris was in his usual place but because of his heavy work load and the lack of a large vehicle he was unable to put on as extensive display as last year.. Some piX on FLICKR. ken
  3. This has always been an easy and relaxed show ...Booking in is great but It's still small enough to be able to just turn up at the door ... they have always tried sort something out for those less than Organazized MV ...Re enactors types .... ken
  4. OK who's comming ?? http://www.militaryandflyingmachines.org.uk/ ken
  5. Ok ...I paid £4k Deliverd to my door for a 353 Workshop truck ( within my GMC flickr page below) last year. Running, driving ,road legal but in need of a little TLC.. I recon that I got a good deal ..the truck needs about £1-1.5K spending on her ( My labour not included )...so £5 - 5.5k In total ..:undecided: as has been mentioned, Asking price and selling price differ ...I'd say the truck in Question is a Good £5.5K + on a good day £6 K + My Jimmy Had been advertised several times at stuppid money ... needless to say without any buyers probably because it needed some work and looked rough .. ken
  6. Ok, when Tony Sudds was around he did a "Ready to spray" paint straight from the tin and I think 5 lrts was enough to do a full jeep ..although I tended to use a bit more underneath the tub ( normaly a Cheaper OD with a Flash over of TS Matt 1 ). so probably 6 + lrts of O.D in total 2.5 to 3 lts of O.D with a about 10-15% thinners should do a jeep if your just Revamping her and not working from bare metal ..As for Red ox again I tend to put 2+ coats on Bare metal so again 6 lts but if your just painting the main body tub and preping over a good coat of OLD O.D you may get away with 2 ltrs.. I'd say that if you are new to painting you will probably us a bit more paint ..
  7. If I remember it a standard Hi temp Lithium grease around the bearings and for the ball/swivell joints but Landrover make a special runny honey type grease for the ball/swivell joints .. ken
