  5. I would agree with clive that a miss fire under load would seem to indicate ignition problems try running the engine in the dark with the bonnet up and see if there any stray sparks anywhere I should be around between christmas and new year if you need any help Chris
  6. Its probably a bit of an old wives tale that an engine becomes hooked on easystart. The use of easystart usually masked some other problem like lack of compression which just got worse & worse so using more & more easystart Chris
  7. Did the recovery service come to a explanation for the wheel coming off Its a problem with a suspended rear tow and left hand threaded wheel nuts i'm told that it generally only effects the taper seat type of nut not the more modern spigot mounted type They should be checked before towing and again after 20 miles or so
  8. Any unburnt fuel in the exhaust can/will ignite with spectacular results! Not caused by coasting but blown head gasket http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa301/chrisgodward/Exhaust12.jpg[/img]
  9. If you do coast DON'T TURN THE ENGINE OFF, apart from the effect on brakes a catastrophic explosion can occur when you attempt to restart the engine. Any unburnt fuel in the exhaust can/will ignite with spectacular results! Chris
