    My bren came by mail order i think it came by parcel force but it was three years ago if they knew what the parcel contained!

    2 out of my 4 condensers were u/s when clive tested them at kemble I've got 6 plug caps to test at W&P

    Sorry to hear of you problem jack i recon that paul is right that it was on a suspended rear lift causing the nuts to loosen As i understand its normally lighter to lift the rear that the front Chris

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no4 has been spinning in the con rod Both the con rod and crank will worn New shells will last for a short while but you'll be stripping it again

    We had a similar problem with a champ popping/backfiring flame out of the exhaust change points & condenser which cured the problem Chris

    The lock and barrel can be released by dismantling the switch board it's not difficult but a bit fiddly Chris

    It's an oil control ring the hexagon spring bit goes in the grove first to give more radial pressure. looks very much like the old cords style ring but i haven't seen one for 20 or so years so may be mistaken chris
