  1. But doesnt WW2 German armour command a higher price than the Sherman? Jagdpanther?
  2. Followed the link on Milweb to www.staman.nl who are selling off some of the Stuarts that just arrived. They seemed to have sold very quickly, no surprises there. Anyone any idea who bought them and for how much? Has our Mr Barrell purchased one? See they have a nice Humber armoured car there as well.
  3. Camoflaged thermal long johns and hat from MrsW, plus a nostalgic Sisters of Mercy CD (Yes I was a goth in me yoof!), a couple of obscure books and a fuzzy head in the morning. Still no tank though despite my best hint dropping.
  4. I see someone is selling off lots of wireless kit in the MVT greensheet at the moment.
  5. It was a Morris, but alas not there anymore.
  6. Yes I think it was up in Yorks. Body looked fairly complete, all running gear etc. Still seemed like a bargain though. Had a Ford head on Willys block. What did the seller have to say about it? I thought it might have been post war, but the frame number says not.
  7. I think I may have missed a bargain jeep on ebay then. Farm find, unrestored only went for £2,500, all complete. B****r it!
  8. Again, looks nasty Joris, at least you are ok. You can replace the car with a good one now....!
  9. Ive tried finding the link on the G503 forum, and someone did tell me before how to find out. How do I find the DOD for a jeep with a frame number of 239561?
  10. Not many compared to the 15cwt is a good bet. You seem to have a lot more down under from reading MLU.I only know of 2 in the UK personally.
  11. Is the Tiger 1 not undergoing any work through lack of parts? As far as the Stug resto is concerned Im sure the SdKfz Foundation would help, they seem to be more than capable of engineering almost anything.
  12. If you look on the 74 squadron history website, they make no mention of DC's. http://www.thesoutheastecho.co.uk/74_squadron.htm Just Spits and hurricanes. Are you sure it is 74?
  13. If it was a Polish crew would they have been crewing an RAF or CAF plane?
  14. Where were 74 squadron based in 1946?
  15. Do you know the name of the plane Tony?
  16. There was a thread I started ages ago with lots of pics of the LRC, cant seem to find it now though, unless anyone knows where its gone?
  17. The Phase 1 report of the Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment of the Severn Estuary (well, the English side anyway) is now available from http://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=16998 Phase 1 is the mapping, analysis and interpretation of all the visible archaeological features from aerial photographs. The report is a hefty download, but features a massive quantity of military archaeology, particularly second world war invasion defences. There is also a poster summarising a few of the more interesting military sites.
