  1. Im sure it will be a matter of time before an 'orrible accident will happen.
  2. Thanks Richard, I did wonder if they were supplied ready to fit. It just seemed a bit extreme to order some when I usually make brake pipes in a matter of minutes. But these are complete b******s to do.
  3. The small copper brake pipes that run between the flexys and the back of the wheel cylinders. Is there a knack to fit them/bend them/ shape them? As no matter what i try, they always seem to kink, hence pipes no good. Any suggestions?
  4. Not too mention the overpriced Morris armoured car.
  5. Well done Jack and to all involved in a very succesful event, wish we could have been there, the pics look superb. I look forward to seeing whats next on the cards! Nice one..

  7. Anyone fancy their chances with anything at the upcoming Sanderson Weatherall auction? I got sent through the full vehicle details today, over 170 of them to think about. I may have a little flutter come the day of the auction as long as there are no silly reserves!

  13. Thats not somebodys garden is it? Ive got a jeep grill, a Bullnose Morris roadwheel and an old tractor seat decorating my garden. Not fair.
  14. I clocked a bit of that in between fighting the sprogs to stay in bed. Well worth looking at on i-player.
  15. But Nick, there are some pics of a couple of jeeps in the book " British jeeps in wartime service".
  16. Just purchased a genuine wing mount siren for the jeep. It works a treat when wired directly up to a battery, much to the amusement of the boys out the back! Question is, how would it originally have been wired up? What switch etc would it need to be installed properly?
  17. Its a very small hole in the C8 master cylinder, you can see it when you take the cap off.
  18. Tou could try Coke that takes off light surface rust. Have a look at some of the gizmos metal detectorists use. Ive got a cylindrical tumbler, full of nails, works wonders and doesnt actually do any damage to the metal surprisingly enough.
  19. Done know if its relevant to the MW. On the Morris C8 there is a tiny hole to release the brake pressure in the master cylinder. Very easy to overlook and easily blocked up.
  20. Been over several times myself. Did you get a chance to look at any of the fortifications? Or the Occupation Museum? Never been to Sark, did do Herm though, it was mild, but still enough to make you want to hang on! Maybe the Admiral (CW) was at the wheel, thats why it was such a rough ride! Look forward to the pics.
  21. Thats why I cant find the pages I was looking for! Doh!
  22. A while ago I was looking into the potted history of the Middle East Lib. Force which commanded North Africa post WW2 Pre Suez and found a page on the internet relating to the history. I cant find it now, has anyone any links so I can grab some info on it?
