  3. Following on a bit from Jules thread about USAAF markings, mine is being marked up as a RAAF jeep 457 Squadron, any clues as to how the markings would be?

  5. Got an electronic ignition kit from Jolleys the other wee and I intend to fit it to the Ferret. Any hints and tips? Looks fairly straightforward. It does say the wiring is slightly different for vehicles fiited with Ballast resistor. How do I know if I have one, where would it be fitted and what does it look like?

  7. Few questions regarding registering the jeep with DVLA. On the guide they give you to fill in the V55/5 a lot of the sections tell you to take the vehicle information from the Certificate of Conformity or SVA/IVA/MSVA certificate. I know what an SVA is, but it doesnt need one as its got chassis number and MVT verification.What is a certificate of conformity and do I need to fill those boxes in?
  8. I sent my better half with MVT letter, insurance docs, MOT etc and they wanted a birth certificate.

  10. I had a British jeep chassis that I was trying to id the rebuild workshops.Someone could write a very good piece of reference if we could only find out the list of designations.
  11. Have you tried Bovington, they may have archives of it. Also try the regimental museum, they normally hold all servicemens records etc.

  17. I experimented with a jigsaw when I had to fit the Morris tyres, woked fine as they have a tube in anyway. If you speak very nicely to Retriever on here (Gordon), I think you will find he works at Vass, also worth mentioning that you are an MVT member. He will do you a good deal Im sure.
