  5. Hi Ben. Welcome. I myself are finding so much of intrest. Andy.
  6. Hi Gary, not sure on that one. But the musket being proofed for black powder we all stick to it. We are O.K. to shoot shot and blanks, but if I was to fire ball etc. well a whole world of problems of only shooting at ranges etc. So was never worth the hassel. Thanks for your intrest. Would be good to post a pic. but they are all pre digital. Andy.

  13. Thanks folks for the info. Yes they do feel 'silky'. label, Trousers Combat camouflarge Windproof 8415-99-138-0804 pocket buttons green,3/4'' Andy
  14. Hi, can you weld/fabricate? Take great care to check out the chassis, outriggers and bulkhead, it can be easyier to do a clutch, engine rebuild etc. than having to try and weld up a rotton bulkhead/chassis. A friend has just had to have work done on a SIII engine and was staggered how cheep engine parts were, and how helpfull and low cost local small engineering firms were. Good hunting and let us all know how you get on. P.S. thought of a airportable??:-)
  15. Hi, I do still have my musket, allthough I can not use it. In this country you need a explosive licence as well to hold and use black powder, was not worth the problems with storage/regs. etc.Yes, it did get very hot, during large battles. Sure was somthing when in the front firing line with 100plus in the volly. Good luck with the 50 hunt. Andy.
  16. Hi Steve, late welcome from another airportable just over the border near Newport. Not heard of a Nesscliff this year sadly, but will post a 'future' event if there is a replacement. Andy.
  17. Welcome,I,m also new to forum. Andy.
  18. Hello and welcome to the forum. I used to be a re-enactor with the 55th Virginia. Loved my Parker hale 2 band Enfield. Gave up the hobby, reveille at 5.30 in the morning for drill and kit inspection got a bit much! It's my age you know. Is your .50cal still live fire? Just picked up a old spec. M2HB de-act myself. Hope to see pics when yours mounted.
  19. I have in my collection this Lynwood RP6200 (Resolute2) computer unit. Made in the U.K. 5998 99 877 1490. Can anyone tell me when this unit was first used. It does work and we hope to sort the 'insides' out to add life to a command/sig. display at events. The key pad folds up to the screen and is in a transit case for transport. Thanks for any info. Andy.
  20. I have been informed that these are 68ptn. windproof trousers as used by the S.A.S. Can anyone confirm this before I exhibit them in my display at events. The waist straps pass over each other and fasten with a buckle towards the side/back of the waist belt. Thanks for any info. Andy.
